Smooth Jazz, which is usually considered a very “poppy” and commercial form of jazz, influenced by R&B and Funk, is typically very downtempo and mellow, featuring prominent bass. Almost always instrumental with melodies that are usually made with saxophones, but may also include trumpets, guitars, clarinets, or oboes.
